Students' unions are amazing organisations - part business, part charity - and all seriously fun places to work. We thrive on diversity, variety, challenge, and creativity, and we know that we are only ever as good as our people. In our goal to attract outstanding people, our Careers in Students' Unions work has explored why people join the student movement and the sorts of skills, knowledge and experiences they gain and take with them throughout the career.
This panel discussion draws on the experiences of officers and staff, past and present, to understand what they have learnt and how the values of the student movement have shaped their lives and careers. On the panel are:
Jane Ashworth OBE (CEO, StreetGames UK Ltd)
Douglas Blackstock (CEO, Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education)
Josh Fortenzer (Vice Chancellor's Fellow for the Public Benefit of Higher Education, Sheffield University)
